Fall 2003
First Day of School, September
|

|
School started on September 2nd. I had such a good summer that I DIDN'T
want to go... but Mom and Dad said I had to.
My teacher this year is Mr. Frank. I think he's going to be tough!
I got some cool new school supplies to help me out. My backpack has
rollers because last year my books and notebook got so heavy that Mom
worried about my back. It is pretty handy. And I also got a new
notebook, with lots of dividers to organize my homework and pockets to
hold other supplies. I even got a new lunchbox! So I'm set. Just
have to bring my brain along, too!

Halloween, October
This year our school was closed (for a "teacher in-service
day") on October 31st. So one of my classmates, David, had a
sleep-over the night of the 30th. We had a great time playing basketball
all night long... but we didn't get any sleep. (Mom was not happy.)
The next day, my friend Robby stayed with me for the day, but we didn't
do much except hang out 'cause we were too tired. Then for
trick-or-treating I went over to Robby's house. I dressed like a
dead park ranger, and he was a dead baseball-head [right]. I think I got
more candy last year, when I had more energy to walk! |

Kirkland
Seahawks, November
|

|
Our Boys and Girls Club football team this year was almost
exactly the same as last year. Maybe that's why we ended the season undefeated!
My team members were [left to right, standing] Jarell, Robert, Robby,
Nate, Kyler, Kurt, [left to right, kneeling] Robert, (me), and Chris. We
had the same coaches, too: Robert Blue and Pat Ryan. They really helped us
a lot. |
| I think football is my favorite sport to play. I like being
the running back and receiver. I made at least one touchdown every
game, and one game I made four!
We had some cool plays, too, like the fake double-reverse. One
time we did a quadruple reverse! |
