Winter 2004
Piano Recital, December
For this Christmas recital, I played
"Hark the Herald Angels Sing." I made a few mistakes, but
then everyone seemed to be having an "off night," even my
teacher, Tara [left].
After each performance she gave all her students an
ornament and a rose (even the boys). I gave my rose to my mom (what was I
gonna do with it?).
For the potluck afterward, I made my favorite cranberry/whipped
cream salad.

Christmas, December

|
I had a busy Christmas. Christmas Eve I spent at my Grandpa Paul's
house with Mom's really big stepfamily.
Christmas Day I woke up at Mom's [right], opened presents, and Grandma
Joanie and Auntie Anne came over for lunch. Then Christmas afternoon I
went to Dad's where I opened more presents and played with
Brennan.
Then Saturday after Christmas I went to Suzy's parents' house in
Lacey... and opened MORE presents!
Yeah, I'm spoiled. |

Snow! January
Over Winter Break, Mother Nature definitely cooperated. We had
four inches of snow at our house, and we were housebound for two
days. But I didn't care; we made sled jumps and sledded down our
neighborhood hills all day long! I went inside only to blow my nose and
get a dry pair of socks. |

Sofia Arrives! January
 |
On January 29th, my baby sister, Sofia, was born. She is so
cute!!
I visited her in the hospital on the 30th and 31st, where I held her
[left] when she wasn't sleeping or eating. I spent most of the days with
her, Mom, and Jan. (I liked being able to get popsicles and pudding out of
the refrigerator for recovering moms.)
She's really tiny, but she has long fingers, legs, and toes; she has
lots of dark hair; and she "talks" a lot. I'm glad to be her big
brother—at least until she gets big enough to
get into my stuff.
