June 1-16, 2000, Mediterranean Cruise, Princess Cruises

We married April 30, 2000, but put off our honeymoon to June so that we could take the first Mediterranean cruise of the Grand Princess, from Barcelona to Istanbul. With two days at sea and extra nights in Barcelona, Venice, and Istanbul, the 12-day cruise's ports of call were Barcelona, Monte Carlo (where we also visited Nice), Livorno (for Florence and Pisa), Naples (where we visited Capri and Pompeii), Venice, Athens, Kusadasi (for Ephesus), and Istanbul.
